28 Jan 2015 Press Release – SnowCrown
Collingwood ON January 07, 2015
365 Sports is proud to announce the return of Eastern Canada’s largest Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Event – SONY Snow Crown. Last year, the event played host to over 80,000 spectators and 300 competitors from seven different countries. Included among the competitors were eight Olympians and over 40 professional athletes.
Athletes from around the world will again converge on Blue Mountain, Ontario’s Largest Ski and Snowboard Resort, from March 13th to March 22nd, 2015.
SONY Snow Crown will play host to three disciplines in two sports (Snowboard and Freestyle Ski), Half pipe, Slope Style and Big Air, in both female and male categories, as well as the Gromination 14 and under Junior Event.
Now in its fourth year, the SONY Snow Crown promises to be even bigger and better. Among competitors, 365 Sports is known for producing quality events that greatly benefit from the company’s years of experience in production. “We want this to be the best course and competition that we can create,” said Vice President of Marketing, Mike Lambert. In reference to 365 Sports Founder and Creative Director, Jesse Fulton, Lambert continued: “As a former professional athlete and Olympic Coach, Jesse’s adamant about the athlete experience, the course and judging quality. That is why he does it and that is also why he invests himself so heavily.
While 365 Sports brings event expertise, the success of SONY Snow Crown can also be credited to committed partners and event sponsors. “We’re so fortunate to have such great partners involved to make this a reality for the athletes and spectators alike. I gauge the success of an event on smiles and we have never been short of any so far. Having a great course, hype, and judging panel are key components to that formula and we do our best to provide these for this event activation,” Lambert concluded.
This is the third year that Sony Canada has played the role as title sponsor of the event. “At Sony, we’re really excited to be sponsoring Snow Crown again and are pleased to show our ongoing support for the outstanding current and next generation Ski and Snowboard athletes who participate” said Robin Powell VP of Marketing for Sony Canada. Sony will be on-site in full force showing off the latest Hi-Res Audio products and capturing the excitement using Sony Action Cam point-of-view cameras.
Alongside Sony, other notable event sponsors include Canadian companies such as RPZN, PWDROOM, EIRA, VANS, OAKLEY and ARGO, as well as, Energy Giant ROCKSTAR. SONY Snow Crown is hosted by Blue Mountain Resort.
